The banana gun is a toy that is based off of the Deringer model but instead shoots rubber bands. All inner housed pieces move in tandem through springs and a series of extruded dowels that hold them to only have restricted circular movements. The outer banana housing has an inset for the inner panels to rest in when closed.

These are some pictures of what I had imaged for the color, material, and finish for the banana gun toy. The inside manufactured with clear acrylic and the outside housing created with semi matte yellow polyethylene. I produced these images with the Keyshot application.

The inspiration behind the banana gun was an in depth study of the Deringer mechanism in a gun. I created this toy in the program Solidworks to properly present how all the mechanisms within a Deringer interact with each other. To the left is my sketch to study the mechanism.

To the left is a top view without the top housing panel to show a more detailed view, and to the right is a close up of the inner pieces
